The images on this page are from the 1963-1964 "Around the World Caravan". The caravan was the first around the world, in 1963 and 64 with 47 trailers and 105 people. It's all recorded in the book Thank You Marco Polo . (see Reading section)

As Bill Scott put it: "Kabul, Tehran, Baghdad, Beirut, now those 4 cities, are ones you or I will never see. Since the caravan went through in 64, all four of those cities, have been in war and turmoil, bombed, under the torch, and now the residents hate us." It truly was a once-in-a lifetime caravan.
