Jul. 1993 VAC Constitution and By-Laws approved by IBT. The VAC is official with 115 members. Bud Cooper is first VAC President.
Apr. 1994 VAC newsletter renamed "The Vintage Advantage".
1996 VAC through Tom Howarth & Pat Ewing found and establish the Vintage Airstream Club email List (VACList)
Jan. 1998 Don Reasons of California hosts a nice Airstream web site and begins gathering and posting Airstream history, some accurate, some legend.
Apr. 1998 Canadian Ewan McDonell establishes the VAC's www.airstream.net web site and is its developer and administrator.
Late 1990s Virtual Vintage Airstreaming is well established by VAC email list and numerous vintage Airstream related web sites.
1998 The other Airstream chat list, managed by Hunter Hampton, that discusses mostly newer Airstream trailers, moves to a different host server, (Yahoo Group) and becomes known as "Hunter's List". It still operates today.
Fall 1999 Bryan Burkhart becomes Vintage Advantage newsletter editor and switches to magazine format.
Fall 1999 VAC buys www.airstream.net and www.airstream.org domain names from Ewan McDonell.
Jan. 2000 VAC members found the Washington DC Unit (WDCU) of the WBCCI, the first new local chapter established in 20 years. The WDCU is wholly Internet based, circulating its newsletters and communicating with members over the Internet instead of by US Mail.
Nov. 2000 VAC sponsors a VAC Caravan to Belize, 11 vintage trailers participate.
2001 VAC website establishes members only viewing area and publishes password in The Vintage Advantage, nonmembers complain, passwords eventually dropped.
2001-2003 R.J. Dial is VAC webmaster 2001 to mid 2003, Toby Folwick named new webmaster.
Fall 2002 VAC offers DVD of 9 old Wally Byam Caravan movies from 1956-68. Good response but technical difficulties result in discontinuance. About 100 sets sold.
Summer 2003 First VAC Power Point presentation at Rocky Mt. VAC Rally. The show is updated and presented at the 2004 and 2005 Rocky Mt. VAC Rallies.
Summer 2005 VAC Power Point presentation is given at Airstream's 2005 Homecoming in June at Jackson Center, OH, and again in July at the WBCCI International Rally in Springfield, MO. Copies mailed to various Regions for presentation at VAC events around the country.
